El Moncayo beach

El Moncayo is a golden sand beach of 2 kilometres large in Costa Blanca. Lots of the people consider this beach as the best beach in the region.

 

El Moncayo beach has few dunes and moderate waves. It´s a nice place to go with your family. You can find all the services there and it´s not as crowded as other beaches in Torrevieja or Guardamar. You can also practise several nautical sports there, such as: windsurf, surf or kitesurf.

Calblanque is an amazing Natural Park which combines a beautiful landscape of Mediterranean beaches with green mountains and ancient cliffs.

Calblanque Natural Park is located next to La Manga, you can enter there driving directly from the motorway. However it’s recommended to ride a bicycle in the Park. If you live in La Manga, you should definitely go to Calblanque by bicycle.

Shopping in Santa Pola

Santa Pola is a beautiful city by the Mediterranean sea, it’s mostly a summer destination. Population during winter is less than 40.000 people but between June and September population grows up to 100.000 people. Paddle Tennis in Spain

Paddle Tennis is becoming very popular in Spain. If you like to play tennis but you are bored of going all the time to the net to pick the ball or if you think that tennis is slow when you play doubles, you should try out Paddle Tennis.

 

The court of Paddle is smaller than in tennis and the net is lower. For playing, instead of racquet we use wood paddle and the ball is a little bit softer and bounces less than in tennis.

Excursion to Torrevieja

Torrevieja is located only 10 kilometres from Ciudad Quesada, it’s a perfect one-day excursion. Half of the population that lives in Torrevieja is from Spain. The other half is from all over the world, mostly from Great Britain,  Germany, Sweden and Russia.

 

The history of Torrevieja has been always related with the sea and salt. Torrevieja was a fishermen village and also a very  important salt producer.
