Alicante is the largest city in the region, there you can find the most special shops in a 100 km radius, every day thousands of people go from the nearby cities to Alicante just for shopping.
There are several places for shopping in Alicante; from the small traditional shops to the huge galleries, shopping centres and outlets.
The centre of Alicante is very large and it has a lot of activity during the whole week, at the rush hours it can be difficult to park so a good option can be to take the public transport or to drive directly to the paying car parks that are all over the city centre.
The streets, between La Rambla and Federico Soto are plenty of shops, some of the most exclusive shops of Alicante are located here. Crossing La Rambla, at the traditional neighbourhood of Santa Cruz you will find small souvenir shops between beautiful and traditional white streets.
“El Corte Inglés” is the main gallery in Alicante; it has two different stores in the city centre, the biggest one is located in Maisonnave and the other one in Federico Soto. This prestigious gallery is famous in the whole country and it’s a guarantee of quality. El Corte Inglés in Alicante use to be crowded, especially on weekends. There is a car park in both of them, so don’t worry for your car.
FNAC is also an important shop in Alicante, there you can find a huge variety of music, books and computer accessories. The staff helps you with every doubt you can have. It is located in “Avenida de la Estación”.
The Main Market is very recommended to visit if you want to discover the traditional Spanish markets. Also every day in the Explanada there is a market where you can find some small souvenirs.
In Alicante there are shopping centres in almost every neighbourhood of the city; Gran Via, Plaza Mar, Vista Hermosa and Puerta de Alicante are the most famous ones. Most of these shopping centres have a complementary offer of restaurants and leisure.
There is also an Outlet in San Vicente next to the University with some fast food restaurants, cinemas and a Carrefour.
