3 good ideas to celebrate Father's Day
In Spain, on March 19 we celebrate Father's Day, coinciding with Saint Joseph’s Day. In some communities this day is a bank holiday, for example, in the Valencian Community. As this year, it also falls on a Friday and we can enjoy a long weekend to relax, practice our favorite sports and take a trip to a nearby town or to a beach that we have not visited yet.
The Costa Blanca offers multitude of possibilities, among them we have selected these three, which will surely not disappoint you:
1- Route through the Laguna de La Mata and the Laguna Rosa (Torrevieja). Torrevieja, just 10 minutes from our urbanization Doña Pepa, has amongst its main attractions two lagoons, which are a protected environment, where you can walk, ride a bike, watch birds or simply enjoy their atmosphere of tranquility. From Ciudad Quesada we have the privilege of enjoying amazing views of the La Mata Lagoon. The Pink Lagoon is quite a spectacle when evening falls, its waters will make you fall in love. If you don't know the lagoons up close, this weekend may be the ideal time. More info http://parquesnaturales.gva.es...
2- Walk along the beaches of Guardamar del Segura. Who doesn't like to take long walks on a long golden sandy beach? We sure do! Guardamar has around 11km of coastline. Its beaches are famous for their beauty, their blue waters and their silky sand. A long walk along the beaches of Guardamar is something you cannot miss. More info https://guardamarturismo.com/p...
3- Visit to the Rodeo Caves (Rojales). The town of Rojales, to which Ciudad Quesada belongs, has hosted a curious artistic center for several years. The caves dug in the Cerro de Rojales by miners from the 18th Century, have been used to expose the works of various artists and artisans. It is a pleasant, safe walk for adults and children, where you can enjoy art, the outdoors and even have a drink on one of its terraces. More info http://www.rojales.es/cuevas-d...
Our area, the southern Costa Blanca, offers beautiful landscapes, leisure and free time activities, excellent gastronomy ... what more could you ask for? Whether you already reside here or are thinking of buying a house to live in, to spend your holidays or to invest, the Costa Blanca will not disappoint you.
